Cocktail Competition

Vyne Restaurant & Bar and Hartford Flavor Company are hosting a cocktail competition looking for a creative and deliciously unique cocktail recipe that features one or more of Hartford Flavor Company’s Wild Moon Botanicals. There are 11 flavors available and you will be mixing up your creation to be judged in one of Vyne’s beautiful event spaces located in Middlebury, CT.
To participate, here are the rules and guidelines. Any violations of these rules will result in disqualification from the competition:
You must use one or more of the following Wild Moon botanicals; Roasted Dandelion Root, 7 Lemon, Sumac, Sage, Cranberry, Birch, Lavender, Lime, Chai Spice, Rose or Cucumber. You can use them in absolutely any way or form (e.g. a liqueur, infusion, syrup, ice, smoke, etc.) you want and in whatever quantities you want. You do not have to make ingredients from scratch. You may also use any other ingredients you want. Hartford Flavor Company also makes Vanilla Vodka and Organic Vodka. Using them would be a bonus but it is not mandatory!
Standard spirits and mixers will be made available for your use in the competition but any special syrups, shrubs or garnish will be your responsibility.
Your entry must be an original cocktail. Alterations of established cocktails are permitted within reason.
Your cocktail name, and a list of ingredients is due no later than Friday, March 18th so we may have the standard ingredients on hand. Please email to [email protected]
PRIZES: There are prizes for the top 3 places. In addition, the first-place winner will be invited along with a guest to join us that evening at 6 pm for an exclusive dinner at Vyne featuring food and drink made using several of the Wild Moon botanicals from Hartford Flavor Company. The owners of Hartford Flavor Company and Vyne Restaurant will be in attendance.
Other competitors and spectators are welcome to join but must register in advance. No entry will be permitted at the door. Buy dinner ticket here.
